The most extensive technique in Peru is reverse painted glass. Picture frames painted with this style are found in many churches and museums of the country, such as the walls of the History Museum of the Convento de los Descalzos of Rimac, in Lima. This type of decoration was enriched during the Republican era and it is still in use today.
In Peru, the handicraft market contains a great number of decorative pieces and utensils made of painted glass, combined with wood and ceramics: glass plates and coasters from Apurimac, tableware of Canto Grande (Lima). Other manufactured items include serving trays, mirrors picture frames, boxes, plates, jewelry boxes, ornaments in the form of animals, desk implements and many more.
